Augmented Reality Poster Series
Linda Vista Innovation Center
This interactive poster series was created for the Linda Vista Innovation Center to introduce students to local career options through augmented reality interviews with diverse community leaders.
Our organization had never attempted an augmented reality project before, so it was an exciting opportunity to learn, experiment, and develop an entirely new medium for student interaction. I worked closely with our photographer to develop a film and photography procedure for our interview subjects. After receiving raw stills from the filmed interviews, I would edit and stylize each portrait to capture the essence of the subject in four colors, resulting in a cohesive collection. Then, the photographer and I would apply the still image stylization onto the filmed interview using EBSynth. From there, we delivered print and digital assets to our client partners at the Linda Vista Innovation Center, who linked the still images and stylized video interviews using Halo AR, an augmented reality application. This would allow students to use their devices to scan the posters which would then come alive to deliver interviews in augmented reality.
This project was awarded the 2024 NSPRA Award of Excellence - Video-Series by the National School Public Relations Association.
